Ignis Allandra and her twin brother Michael are terrified of their father a violent drugs baron. Finally they decide to run away - before they are absorbed into the business against their will. Ignis and Allandra escape but Michael is caught. They decide to keep running but vow to return for their brother at the earliest opportunity. Knocked out by a fall they wake to find themselves in a mysterious treetop village. Slowly it dawns on them that they are at a school - a secret ninja training camp. For Ignis its the last thing he wants - one set of rules and regulations replaced by another. For Allandra its the chance to make true friends at last. Its also the perfect hiding place - and the ninjitsu training will come in handy when theyre strong enough to face up to their father again. Each day is a struggle: avoiding discovery bowing to school rules dealing with bullies and realising that violence isnt always the answer. But then their idyll is shattered: Allandra spots her father and Michael walking through the woods. Determined to use her new-found martial arts skills to rescue her twin she sets off in the dead of night alone. Allandra - unless Ignis and their band of new friends can track her down.
